Olympics Sneak Peek

Next year’s Winter Olympics are held in Pyeong Chang, South Korea. Competition will kick off on Thursday, Feb. 8, a day before the Opening Ceremony on Friday, Feb. 9, and run through Sunday, Feb. 25, the day of the Closing Ceremony. You  can watch the games on WBIR, NBCSN and across the networks of NBC Universal, online at NBCOlympics.com, or on your smartphone with the NBC Sports App.   

The 2018 Olympics will be the second Olympic Games held in South Korea, after the 1988 Summer Olympics held in Seoul, but will be South Korea's first Winter Games.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

There are 15 winter sports that make up the games, including Alpine skiing, Biathlon, Bobsled, Cross-country, Curling, Figure skating, Freestyle Skiing, Ice Hockey, Luge, Nordic combined, Short track Speed Skating, Skeleton, Ski Jumping, Snowboard, and Speed Skating.
